Men's Runner of the Week

 Godson Oghenebrume, LSU

Godson Oghenebrume went on to clock his first ever sub-10 100 meter with 9.97 seconds (+2.3 m/s) at LSU Alumni Gold. His new all-conditions PR ranks second in the nation and third in Africa. Oghenebrume was on the 4×100-meter relay team that placed first with a time of 38.36 seconds, beating out Canada's team which is the only team in the world to go sub-38 this year. The time of 38.36 puts the team at fourth in the world and also on the all-time LSU list.

Men's Field Athlete of the Week

 Rojé Stona, Arkansas

Rojé Stona set a meet record in winning the John McDonnell Invitational with a career best of 65-10.5 (20.08), which is No. 3 on the Arkansas all-time list. Currently, he is the only collegian ranked among the top five in both the shot put and discus this season. Stona bettered the meet record of 64-2.5 (19.57) set by Oklahoma's Kevin Bookout in 2007 on his first-round mark of 64-8.75 (19.73). An improvement in round two measured 65-3.25 (19.89). Then in round five Stona added seven more inches to his winning distance with a 65-10.5 (20.08) and defeated teammate Jordan West in the process.

Men's Freshman of the Week

 Jordan Turner, Kentucky

Jordan Turner won his second long jump competition of the season at the Michael Johnson Invitational. He achieved his winning mark (7.80m/25-0.75) twice before passing on his final two attempts in the win. Turner remains ranked seventh nationally and is the top freshman in the event.

Women's Runner of the Week

 Masai Russell, Kentucky

Masai Russell picked up three wins at the Michael Johnson Invitational. Her stadium record time of 12.50 (1.1) was enough for the win in the 100 hurdles, and she was also a member of two relay teams that won at the weekend. The 4x100 won with a time of 43:38 and the 4x400 won with a season best of 3:28.21 that ranks at No. 5 on the UK all-time performers list and No. 6 nationally.

Women's Co-Field Athletes of the Week

 Lamara Distin, Texas A&M

Lamara Distin won the high jump at the LSU Alumni Gold meet with a clearance over 6-4.75/1.95m, topping her season best of 6-4/1.93m from Mt. SAC. The mark is a national lead and registers only two centimeters off her personal best of 6-5.5/1.97m from last April. Distin made three attempts at 6-6.75/2.00m, missing them all. Her first attempt at the would-be collegiate record looked good until her heal clipped the bar, causing it to fall.

 Veronica Fraley, Vanderbilt

Veronica Fraley earned a pair of first-place finishes in the discus and shot put at the Indiana Invitational. Her throw of 59.27m was more than five meters farther than the runner-up in the discus throw. She currently leads the SEC and ranks fourth in the NCAA. Fraley posted a personal-best performance to win the shot put with a throw of 17.33 meters. Over the course of six throws, three surpassed the 17-meter mark.

Women's Freshman of the Week

 Ariane Linton, Arkansas

Ariane Linton established career best marks in the 100m and 200m at the John McDonnell Invitational, finishing as the second collegian and third overall in the 100m with an 11.31 as well as in the 200m with a 23.16. On the Arkansas all-time list, Linton is No. 8 in the 100m and No. 10 in the 200m. This past weekend, Linton was the fastest freshman among all 100m marks and equal third best collegian in the 100m among wind-legal marks. In the 200m, Linton was the second-best freshman over the weekend and had the sixth best time among wind-legal marks.
